DS-12E is designed to provide storage expansion for SAS RAID controller or SAS RAID adapter or SAS RAID adapter (SAS HBA). The enclosure is equipped with SAS Expander to support twelve high-reliable 6Gb/s SAS drives or high-capacity SATA II or III drives from only single SFF-8088 cable host connectivity and provided two more SFF-8088 ports to allow to scale several units of SAS expander enclosure for the most cost-effective storage expansion.
